Home with Grandma

Today's a saturday, but I spent most of my time with my grandma, woke up at 8am today, despite it is a weekend for me. I cooked some chicken porridge using chicken drumsticks i bought yesterday at NTUC choa chu kang.

I'd like the porridge a lot! and it taste Very good, especially for people like me with weak teeth. Can i sell it for $2.50 with youtiao at the market stall in the morning? =P

It's very simple to prepare:

  2. Take out the chicken drumsticks and discard the water.
  3. Boil fresh pot of water.
  4. After the water is boiled, put in scaled chicken drumstick, washed rice. ginger and garlic
  5. Bring to small flame after the mixture boiled.
  6. Add seasonings to taste.
Today is the first time we do major manvouring with the wheel chair as my sis and I took my grandma to IMM. All my relatives were so worried about my grandma! My father come to fetch us, but ended up with a dead engine halfway through. It's our first experience! My second uncle, cousin & Husband came to our rescue! We tried a unsuccessful jump start. Followed by the evergreen pushing of the lorry just like in the movies and It works!!!

My feet were badly "injured" by the wheel chair and it hurts so much when I bathe. My stupid sister keep bumping the wheel chair into my ankle also =(
I think it's going to hurt for a few more days...

Hi Keelyn, I was wondering why not use the chicken stock in the porridge instead of throwing it away? Will taste better? ;)

The first time of boiling is to get rid of any greasy small from the chicken. Normally is a standard procedure for meat like chicken or pork. It's not to cook the chicken, only to scald it. So this "stock" cannot be used.
