Went to the supermarket to buy some greens, beef tomatoes, shaven honey baked ham, avocado and feta cheese for salad. Taste delicious =^.^=

Sunday Dinner

grilled some cod fish for dinner. I realised that my cooking speed had improved! hee... See the differences in the photo quality? I bought a new camera, panasonic GF1 :)

Steamboat - XO Chicken

I always liked steamboat or BBQ, but definately not those 2-in-1 type. Today, doraemon and me will be having XO chicken steamboat! Got half a chicken and marinade it with some salt and pepper, oyster sauce and XO. However, he insisted on having prawns for steamboat to make the soup sweet -_-"
This is the soup base i've prepared. Some wolfberry, red dates and bonito flakes. I didn't want to add the wolfberry and red dates cos it's sorta mismatch with the bonito flakes. It's "him" lah...
Some of my favourites mushrooms!!!! lotsa varieties. shitaka mushroom, straw mushroom and King Oyster Mushroom. At least, mushroom and chicken goes well hor.

Some extra ingredients. Actually if you hadnt tried before, luncheon meat taste very good for steamboat. Other stuff i like is crabmeat... ESSENTIAL ITEM muahaha...
Here is the STAR of the night... but then... doraemon likes prawn more than chicken -__-"
But i think i'd like the chicken a lot leh.. taste good lah..

Saturday's Dinner, A Change of Chef...

Due to my lousy mood and doraemon's mistake of not answer my phonecall last night. He decided to prepare tonight's dinner to pacify me.

This "Paper Manager" dare to ask me questions like. One packet of instant porridge uses 600ml of water. If I cook 2 packets of instant porridge, so do i use 1200ml of water? -_-"

He almost got the kitchen burning due to lack of cooking for a long period of time. The whole house is smokey and there is a sudden short burst of flame... haha...

I also contributed Century Eggs. Hmmm... He should know that I can be bribed with Century Eggs, Ken Ken Cuttle Fish... bah...

"Fish Head" Steamboat at Home

Last weekend, we had a bad experience on 25th Feb (the day which I got my driving license) at the Fish Head Steamboat at the hawker centre downstairs... We paid $25 for a fish head steamboat which we did not really eat much meat. Only fish bones, lotsa yam, vegetables. They do not even put tofu or tomatoes inside loh...

So... We decided to make our own "Fish Head" Steamboat.... As both of us do not know how to appreciate fish head. We chosen Salmon Fillet Instead.
Deep Fried Yam, Seaweed, Tofu and Tomatoes
Cabbages and Caixin.
The soup base, with mushrooms, corn and few pieces of ginger to make the soup sweet. I've added in some red dates and wolfberries also.
All the ingredients "dumped" inside
Ready to be eaten...
The results taste so much better than the hawker centre loh. I think only cost about $10 for all these ingredients.

Monday's Dinner

I've moved to my NEW Site Office at Marina Bay today. I will post my new table tomorrow. However, I'm still maintaining my table at Parkway Parade HQ...

I can reach home using a shorter period of time. Today, I've cook black pepper beef from Valentine's day Leftover tenderloin, Baby Kailan with Scallop, Baby Kailan are yesterday's left from yesterday half packet. I've got a craving for wanton soup today, so I've made some too :)

By the time we finished eating, it's already 9:30pm

Sunday's Dinner

Today's Dinner consist of Ginseng Chicken Soup, Baby Kailan with Fresh Shitake Mushroom, and Garlic Prawns...

Nice Dinner, but a bit bland for my taste. The prawns don't taste good, the flesh is not sweet, is it because of too much freezing and thawing?

My doraemon gave me no flowers and a box of 16 pcs Ferroro Rocher Chocolates. I thought that the heart shaped one is more romantic... but hor... I really do not know what to say about him... Say until I'm so thirsty already...

However, he say will buy me half a dozen of flowers <- hopefully roses next week when the price is lower -_-" Our dinner is a not-so-romantic dinner at home, cooked by me. I thought the food was quite nice, but he did not like the tenderloin beef that I cook. I was thinking that's it's quite nice since it's pinkish on the inside. He also commented that the scallop got a seafood smell... How to remove that smell huh?
At least, we caught a lomantic movie, LOOK for a STAR, at Bishan GV. Nice movie. i'd think that all andy lau's movie are entertaining enough ;)

Monday Evening's Dinner

Today's dinner is a generous slice of pan grilled salmon with Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli. The best part in this plate is the crispy salmon skin which doraemon doesn't likes ;P

Sunday's Dinner - Seafood Mee Sua

We are putting the western food aside for something which my doraemon likes. It's instant oyster mee sua. but doraemon dont eat oyster lah... So hor.. Seafood loh... Put some prawns, mushroom and pacific clams (<- i'd like =P)

Still talking about Left Over Western food here, i think we'll have lotsa of food here. I think I'm getting the hang of the grill pan, this time round not bad hor, can see the grilled marks on the fish ;P

I'd like today's meal a lot, with Baked Potatoes, Corn, Cod Steak, Cream of Portobello Mushroom, Garlic Prawns

I've made a new discovery, now I know why the cod fish taste so sweet and tasty, cos they cost almost $8 per piece, I must have bought them in a rush. Expensive = GOOD?

New Year's Day Dinner

Cooked Dinner for Doraemon today, cos there's simply too much left over food from the dinner last saturday. Anyway, last saturday, we did not cook any cod fish, and the cod fish tasted so delicious... I'm loving my grill pan more and more =)

Post Xmas Dinner

Had a super busy & tiring Saturday. Doraemon had invited one of his colleague, Patrick, & his family, and his best friend Michael to our small amk home. I'm so busy doing this and that until halfway through, I'm going to give up cos my legs are so tired from standing.

The Menu includes,

• One Main Course (Beef Steak/Chicken Chop/ Pork Chop)
• Black Pepper Sauce if desired
• Cream of Chicken Mushroom
• Garlic Bread
• Green Salad
• Boiled Broccoli and Carrot
• Mashed Potatoes
• Grilled Chicken Mid Joints
• Garlic Prawns
• Mango Pudding for Dessert

I spent so much time preparing all the stuff that I had completely forgotten to take photos except for the green salad, which I feel it's so pretty that I must take a photo of it ;)

After sending the salad photo to Qi via email, i feel so hungry, that I went to cook the left over food, as another friend fly a small kite, so there's still a steak left ;P

Mashed Potatoes made from Russel Potatoes, doraemon doesn't like instant mashed potatoes cos he don't like the powdery taste -_-"

Whatever's left from the Saturday Dinner becomes my supper on Monday, Black Pepper Steak, Grilled Mid Joints, Coleslaw

I'd like the stripes on that piece of steak =P
