Wedding dinner.

Just colour and cut my hair at jantzen on tuesday. My impression of my hair stylist candy chan is very good. Will go back to her again before chinese new year to trim my fringe.

Half day Leave

Today, I have taken half day leave for winny's Wedding Dinner, meeting time is 5:30pm at the restaurant. I'm at doraemon's home now. It's now raining cats & dogs here. I really like this type of free & easy feeling. Now I'm trying out something new, it's Egg Milk Beancurd (蛋奶豆花), really dunno whether it will be tasty or not.... 5 minutes more to go...

Why not cooking on Sunday? Cos Keelyn attended a Malay Wedding!

This is the first sunday which I missed my sunday cooking.... Cos I had to attend a colleague's wedding at Johor Bahru.. Quite far hor, luckily other helpful colleagues arranged transportation for me, so lucky of me. Actually was hestiating about going to JB, cos recent news were not positive, however went in the end, cos my that colleague treated me very good and there is company of other colleagues.

It's the first time that I attended a Malay wedding (minus the one time I went with my mother when I'm a kid!). My impression of malay wedding is always buffet style, but to my surprise, it's not!

See the elaborated table setting and the nice glass use. My colleague really took good care of us, treating us like VIPs. There are also other fellow colleagues from japan and malaysia as well! I'm the only person who doesn't know how to speak Japanese.... I mean real fluent japanese *sob*

Much to my surprise, Japanese do haf "ang bao" like we do. However, their's are not red in colour, but look very nice indeed. I'm stunned for a few seconds when one of them took a real stack of nice packets out, So pretty that I think I wont want to unwrap them if they were given to me.

There is also a bit of dance performance, I noticed a difference between chinese and malay style... In chinese style, the couple moves around the whole hall to take pixs. However, malay style, guest would go up on stage to take with the couple. Quite nice actually, cos the background certainly looks better, however more time consuming.

That's me taking a self pix... Just wore a simple black casual dress that night.

That's the feast of the night, see the table is specially reserved for us! The food is very Very nice, compared to singapore's. Dunno the reason is we're hungry but it taste really nice! I had two plates of nasi (rice). :X

On top of the normal gift (had fruit cake) like normal weddings, we were also given bunga telur. Very nice & pretty decorated eggs. I didn't really know the meaning but found the meaning on google as follows:

bunga telur,("bunga" is "flower" and "telur is "egg" –i.e. fully boiled chicken egg wrapped decoratively) which is the traditional Malay gift to guests who come to weddings. The bunga telur is a symbol of fertility and it is hoped that by giving out the bunga telur the married couple would be blessed with many children.

So my dear just married friend. You must がんばってよ！

First Church Wedding

Today is the first time I went for a church wedding. A bit lengthy to me cos I'm not a christian, luckily for me, my two other friends are non-christians too.... Haha.. Got company liao =)

My fren (groom, wai tat), had did a great job in arranging his wedding into a grand affair, or I dunno if it's the good work of the church, there's a lot of people helping out to make it a good turnout and quite professionally as well.

Tamil Wedding... + My BoyFriend!

Last week went to attend our office boy's wedding. His wife quite pretty leh, not bad lah. Venue at bayview hotel, office boy steady rite? Can hold wedding dinner at hotel. It's a buffet style dinner...

My first serving =)

This is my first serving only lah, Of course I took a few servings, nice food of cos must eat MORE! Though all the food are a bit spicy, but not really that spicy until inedible lah. Not bad, if dun have the spicy taste there, some thing is wrong liao hor... but the food is ABOVE average!

Actually what is better that is the bond between Indians leh, his friends would help serve everybody, make sure that the food and drinks are abundant etc... And it's from the start till we leave ok, not half effort only...

Dunno if next time I get married, my friends will help me until lidat or not?

After that I went to honky tong pub to meet ST they all... Ngee drew a picture of my boyfriend.

Today's Jackie and Sharons' Wedding at Marina Mandarin. First time step inside after the A&A work. It looks so different hor. There are a lot of food served there, not bad hor. No pictures of food lah.

Me and Huiilng went to Weida's Wedding Dinner today. Weida is our colleague from fiesta, where we "sell sushi" after our "o" levels. He and his wife had been together for almost 10 years, after this long run, finally married =)
