How to do Fruit Tartlets

Sorry for being so late! I am quite tired these few days and quite busy too! These two days hor, I dun even have my proper lunch break :(

Anyway, here's how to do fruit tartlets. It's quite simple, cos i always use super shortcut methods which will works due to my laziness.

So here goes...

1) Tartlet shells, These baked shells can be bought off shelves from phoon huat, I bought most of my things from there, so it's very easy. One tray (less than $4-$5) consist of 30 tart shells.

2) Super Instant Custard Powder, Just follow the directions on the package, this pack cost $4-$5 also. I estimated that it can makes about 120 tartlets (abt 4 trays of 30s). Which means, 100g for each tray of tart shell.

Here's how the mixture looks like after it's done. I dun have an electrical mixer, so gotta do with a hand whisk. Chilled the custard in the fridge and use when needed. Remember to cover properly to prevent a harden layer to form.

3) Fresh fruits. Fresh fruits like kiwi, strawberries and peaches are excellent fruits to be used for fruit tartlets, any other ingredients can be used too! Just cut them into small pieces and put onto stuffed custard shells. You never try, you'll never know.

4) Glazing gel. Add a teaspoon of this gel plus roughly equal amount of water, heat up a bit using small flame for the gel to melt. Remove from flame and put glazing gel enough to just cover the fruits. This small bottle ($2-$3) is enough to last quite some time.

Extra Tips:

It's important not to make the tartlets too early from consumption time. As the custard is wet and shell is dry. The fruit tartlets will taste sloggy if it's put for too long.

I prepare some for my colleagues in one of morning (lol, not the night before). It took me less than 10 minutes to prepare the tarts. With the custard and cut fruits in the fridge lah.. So don't worry about not enough time.

Hope you like the "recipe" anything dun understand, can ask.
