Christmas eve is supposed to be a nice quiet one. My company had the half day off after a buffet lunch. I went out with my "friend" to have curry fish head at muthu's curry, followed by relaxing coffee treat at concourse starbucks.
When I reach home at about 5pm, doraemon was already sleeping in bed. His company is also on half day off! He told me that he was very full because of the "10-course-lunch" he had just had. I was thinking, "Wah lao... I thought my company was doing well, other people doing BETTER!" 10-course-dinner is already impressive enough, "some people" had "10-course-lunch" wor...
Thus, a bit disappoint, cos I had prepared some food for our quiet dinner before I go for my keyboard lesson at 9pm. I started to cook dinner with the prawns... Then, doraemon came out from the room, scratching his head like he had just woke up. He was still "complaining" about the 10-course-lunch, reminding me NOT TO COOK SO MUCH. haiz... :(
Then he did something which is beyond my expectation! He phoned Mic and BH's family over for dinner! and to my surprised. they agreed! So, I have to cook for 6 people instead of 2 people. Wah Lao Eh!!! At 7:30pm somemore, I rushed like mad loh. The followings are prepared at the end of the day, but hor, no photos, cos I really don't have time to take photos, except for the prawn above.
- Fried Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes and Yam Cubes
- Boiled Broccoli and Carrot
- Grilled Salmon
- Butter Prawns
- Pork Belly & Pork Ribs
- Cream of Clam Chowder
That's about all I've cooked, some of the food doesnt taste up to expectation due to lack of time. definately a good experience but cannot try so often.
In the end, I have to cancel my keyboard lesson, because It's already quite late by the time I finished cooking and there's so much things to be cleaned up after the dinner :(
5 of us, rent 3 rods, went prawning for 2 hours at Geylang Lorong 4. This is the first time prawning, i think it's fun when after getting used to it. =P
Super big prawn, but not caught by me, I only caught 1 prawn in 2 hours.
Our caught of the day, total 7 prawns in 2 hours, the 2nd largest prawn is caught by me.
Must cover the prawns, if not they will jump out from the hot plate. We are cooking them live :X
The finished product, with lotsa salt and pepper. Taste very sweet and delicious!
