Yesterday Qi treated me to a nice pasta dinner at pasta cafe at Takashimaya. I was talking about cooking some chinese cake when we decided to make our saturday a cooking event... The menu includes Japanese Curry, Sushi and Caramel Custard.
I still owe Qi one dinner due to the Greenmark Manager course ;P

I stolen the above from Qi's blog lah.. Do until so nice, don't waste

Preparation of Ingredients for Japanese Curry

Cooking all the ingredients in a pot after stir frying the onions and chicken.

The finished product, it's so yummy and delicous except for a slight burn.

Qi bought this caramel custard pudding... which taste so good ;P

Preparing the tamago (egg). We just uses 6 nos of eggs with 2 spoons of sugar. We have to turn the egg bit by bit.

Keep on turning and frying layer by layer...

The finished product...

We then cut the tamago into strips for the maki.

See our spread of ingredients... Really a lot of nice food... There's more rice in the rice cooker lah..

Spreaded out the rice on the seaweed.

Putting the ingredients onto the rice and ready to roll.

halfway through liao...

Me with spoon and rice... After doing a few rows, we concluded that using gloves are easier.

A nice view of the maki.

Me in Action ;P

One of the nice rolled maki.

In action, wondered if it's my hand or qi's?

Me and my mummy. I think my mummy is very hyperactive, not like other mummy that I've seen. She just don't want to stay inside her room and keep on mingling with my friends.

Trying out reverse roll now. The rice are below the seaweed this time round.

The rolled maki.

Sprinkling seaweed flakes all over

Sprinkle, sprinkle and more sprinkle

Cutting the reverse maki.

The completed reverse maki. Wished that the avocado is riped.

Our spread for the day.. and this is AFTER we eaten a lot while rolling the maki :X
